Devita began serving as pastor of First Baptist Morrow in October of 2023 and loves the warm and welcoming spirit of God that is evident in this place. She continues to be inspired at the depth of faith and commitment to serving others exhibited throughout the congregation.
Prior to coming to FBC, Devita served congregations and young adults across Georgia and the U.S. for 20 years through the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Devita has also been a missionary to Russia and a campus minister on multiple college campuses in Georgia. A native of Georgia, Devita is a graduate of the University of Georgia (BS Mathematics) and Mercer University McAfee School of Theology (MDiv).
Devita is married to Mark, and they have two children, Tyler and Julia. She loves meeting new people and is genuinely curious about everything; she is ready to travel – just say where and when; and she is committed to eating healthy (most of the time) and staying active.
